While reading in II Kings 4, verses 42-44, I had never related this passage to Mark 6:30-44 or Luke 9:10-17. In the New Testament passages, this is where Jesus with five loaves and two fish, blessed and fed the multitudes. Some scholars contend five thousand plus and THERE WAS FOOD LEFTOVER. In II Kings 4, there were 100 men. Brought to them was 20 baked loaves. The question asked to Elisha, “How can this be set before 100 men”? Elisha, a man of God, a man of a faith told the servant to give it to them and THERE WILL BE LEFTOVERS!

Whether the feeding of a 100 or the feeding of thousands, God has no boundaries. His provisions are limitless. The faith required – oh to have such faith! Instead we sit and worry, stew and fret, even angry at times! My heart within cries out, oh to be a woman of faith. I long to have a closer walk with my Lord. My hearts desire to live for Him pointing people to Jesus. The question surfaces from this reading, what are you trying to teach me? This one thing I know whether it is the feeding of a few or many, GOD CAN! I have seen Him work miracles, yes even MIRACLES in my life. I have seen prayers answered that “blew me away” in awe and I NEVER WANT THAT TO STOP!

This is where faith comes in. KNOWING that God is faithful and true. KNOWING that He knows exactly what I need in this short journey of life. Resting, trusting in My Savior, My Lord, My Jesus, MY GOD who longs to show up and Yes, God’s provisions are there. Nothing lacking, EVERYTHING at the right place, at the right time, because IT ALL BELONGS TO HIM, an endless supply!
