Part of JoinWithMe.life is based on faith. So, what is faith?
Is it just something you hope happens in the future? Maybe something you just wish for. The Bible says faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. The Bible also says you cannot please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6) So it really becomes what you believe will happen. That’s really true about all of life. What you believe determines how you live and what choices you make about most of life.
Have you ever used the phrase or heard someone say, “I don’t buy what he’s saying”? For example, you see something on TV or hear someone tell a bizarre story and you respond by saying “I just don’t buy it”. Well, that phrase is really based on Scripture. In Proverbs 23:23 says Buy truth, and do not sell it. Buy is another word for believe. Most everything you buy is because you believe it’s good or helps you in some way. In other words, you make most choices because you believe this is what you want, or something you should do.
Faith is what you believe and how you live as a result. When it comes to life most of us make decisions and choices based on what we want and many times we know it’s not good for us, but we still take or do them. My whole purpose for this blog is to believe truth for myself and help you do the same. You see, I believe that ultimate truth is found in Jesus Christ and His Word, and that’s what I want to buy a lot of. I just want to live my life based on what Jesus says, and through JoinWithMe.life, help you do the same.
