I had started a writing about children flying from the nest and got easily sidetracked. We have had three of our four children to take wings and fly. The fourth will fly far away in three weeks. Sometimes they fly back home.  I have always heard if you send them away in love, they will come back to that love. Sometimes they come back broken, angry, wounded, and desperate. Home tugging on their heart. Home, a place they know they will be loved and cared for.

This is such a sweet picture of a believer who has tried life their way. When they come to the end of that rope and realize that Jesus is all they have, they will find HE IS ALL THEY NEED.

As a parent with open arms, welcoming that hurting child home, Jesus too is standing with open arms. Ready to forgive, ready to embrace and ready to welcome, with open arms!!!!

Eph 1:7, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”

Ps 103:12, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”
