How often do we go prepared to sit at our heavenly Father’s feet? I am guilty, yes guilty of going unprepared, going through the “motions” to mark that duty done. Cross it off my to do list. I am guilty and it saddens my heart. The privilege to cradle God’s Word, then to open and read…..is taken for-granted at times.
This morning, I picked up my Bible. I normally get my pen and notebook too. But I decided, in my mind, that today I would not. I would just read – to mark off my “done today” for today. That sweet whisper asked a simple little question, “What if I have something special for you this morning”? Longed planned for just TODAY, because I know what is needed for today to prepare you for today or tomorrow or even the encouragement or conviction from yesterday. I KNOW, FOR I AM! I AM the author of your yesterday, today and tomorrow. I KNOW, so I plead with you to BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.
With that sweet whisper in my heart, this post was written and I eagerly, with pen and notebook, cannot wait to open God’s LIVING WORD, sitting at HIS FEET, prepared.
